In [[League Of Legends]], last hitting is when a champion kills a minion or jungle creature directly. This increases your Creep Score (CS). Only last hitting a minion provides gold. Minions dying near you or being last hit grants you experience. A wave of minions arrives every *30 seconds* and contains 6 minions. Every 3 waves, an additional cannon minion spawns (until later in the game, where every wave will have a cannon minion). Last hitting can be challenging for the following reasons: 1. Other minions are generally attacking the minions 2. An enemy may be competing with you for farm. 3. Projectiles have travel time, and this may result Strategies for dealing more consistent last hits: 1. Be present. You miss 100% of the CS you aren't there for. 2. Kill caster minions first. * Melee minions clash and passively hurt each-other. Caster minions do not, so they are more consistent to kill. * Your melee minions are setup for quicker kills, and quicker farming means more [[Dead Time]]. * You have perfect accuracy for half of the wave, which means you only need to time 3 other last hits. 3. Walk near the minion you wish to kill. Issue the *STOP COMMAND (S)* to be right near the minion. Then, click on them when their health is low. * This minimizes travel time of projectiles * This ensures that melee champions are right next to what they want to attack so they can immediately swing. * This is only useful when you are not in present danger. 1. Towers fire from their staff at the closest minion. Target them.
