Landing pages are a page on a website that's meant to be an entry point for someone entering the site. Unlike a [[Homepage]], landing pages have a specific goal they want the user to accomplish, usually convert for a specific service. Landing pages are generally directly shared via a marketing campaign, such as an AD or Email. There's usually significant [[Data Engineering]] on a landing page, as it's a step in the conversion and campaign pipeline to actually arrive on the landing page. Data from a landing page is generally collected and fed into a [[Customer Data Platform]] of some kind. Campaign ID is important to preserve. The conversion on the page is equally as important. A form or purchase is usually the goal, and tracking the conversion and attributing it to the campaign in some way is also important. There's also click-through landing pages, which want the user to directly sign up, or go to a specific page and perform an action there. ## Learned Lesson Do not use if it breaks expected user behavior! Looks creepy. --- # References
