I'm attempting to learn Japanese with the [[All Japanese All The Time|AJATT]] method. I really like the culture / country, and my life intersects with it enough that I'd love to learn the language properly. Generally, I'm following this process: 1. Learning the Alphabet (Hirigana, Katakana). Kanji not for now. 2. Explicit learning 1. Learn basic particle usage, grammar 3. Active Learning 1. Watch Anime, Podcasts, and other media w/o translation 2. Attempt to understand parts of it actively 4. Passive Learning 1. Learn by listening in the background, getting my brain "used" to hearing Japanese. ## My Resources * [[Japanese Active Learning Materials]] ## Resources Here is a list of resources for learning Japanese. ### Grammar: * Tae Kim: [Grammar Guide](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbVlSb0VwYkMzUWxLVWw3a0c4T1B2NlUxUTZjQXxBQ3Jtc0tuT1ZXZy14azg2dWFhTGI3WFp4WmswOEFVTE9uUzFvN05KVFVNdFZIRzd6QzVWRnV2aVdJN1lTOGdOYlBqdDV4VjN5TVdrdUNocDR3bVo4bi1wQ1d0YkYxcU5kSjZsLTc3MEd0eGlWOE02bmF0YUhhVQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.guidetojapanese.org%2Fgrammar_guide.pdf&v=7fvCb5_Nzq4) * Pomax Grammar Guide: [Here](https://pomax.github.io/nrGrammar/) ### Dictionaries * Jisho: [https://jisho.org/](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbjVJXzlGQjVjSEtFeWZzU24wNnhJLTBzZjc2UXxBQ3Jtc0tsQWxWMUZOMlc0RDhOWUVTcmNWOE53U1hLX1F4aVJlS0hwam5TV2w4RjUyeFlwaHMtMExHVFU4eFlPWGUtMVpudHZld0VxQVpJUVlkckNtcU16REtES3QzM0NaN2ZBY2tNVFZZUGFONnBTRkJBMmZlZw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fjisho.org%2F&v=7fvCb5_Nzq4) * Weblio: [https://www.weblio.jp/](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbDNqaEtmN0dyQklmaUtXOTgyU2M3b2Vid1NQZ3xBQ3Jtc0tsRS1Yb3NXemhILUE2RnRNME5jSlR4Qm40dFpDTU15Y1FrQk1HNGFIcHlKc0VKMDJpSmpkSnBoQlB6T2M0SFU5SjJPSFh6NVVMcUhOczZadkptMk9Rb00zV0V6eGpUTHJsTDBZQXBkcGJrSzR5b0NXZw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.weblio.jp%2F&v=7fvCb5_Nzq4) * JPDB: [https://jpdb.io/](https://jpdb.io) ### Popup Dictionaries * Yomitan: [Yomitan](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbUNFRm1ydzJTZUQwb0FKVGp4S0dSR1Fzb0dwZ3xBQ3Jtc0tsdzBzSGRyYW9GSTJoQk9qczBIRklLcmV2WWRGNXpFRUVFY2hNTVQyWThTNk5scHVYZEVVWTQxRWp5aXR3aWZ3UU9xVHZqSWd4VTQ4YU92NGl5VkxDZHdGX1FMOE12SHp3RzFPcFhoNlpEcDF4eDg5dw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fchromewebstore.google.com%2Fdetail%2Fyomitan%2Flikgccmbimhjbgkjambclfkhldnlhbnn%3Fhl%3Den&v=7fvCb5_Nzq4) * Dictionaries for Yomitan: [MediaFire](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqa3RGYjVRVVgwNGZpRWxQRWRUb0FmR1RjaWNzUXxBQ3Jtc0ttVkJVakcyZVBQWThveEdYdlRpenV1dndVRTF0Zzg3a2xieWpiaWgwUHNRTWI3VDFJdGhFYVYybi1uak1qNXZNTGcwVm1iZk9yeDcwY2c0T2NCWG90T2NiUW1FY05wRHR5YWp2Q01MSjgzNmNxNWs0MA&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mediafire.com%2Ffile%2Fo3b6jt999dtd9vc%2FYomichan%2BDictionaries.zip&v=7fvCb5_Nzq4) ### Websites * AJATT: https://tatsumoto-ren.github.io/blog/table-of-contents.html * Study Kana: https://realkana.com/study
